We had spent the morning photographing in classrooms at the largest elementary school in Lhasa. Eventually the kids were sent out for recess. (I'm sure they were sick of having cameras poked in their faces.) As the pack of photographers followed them outside so they could shoot the kids playing, I stayed behind, watching stragglers. I started out myself and I noticed the beautiful light in this stairwell. I stationed myself in the corner, waiting until a single boy raced up the stairs. I think it was worth the wait. |
